Real estate may be a people business, but there’s a lot of technology behind it.
The Texas REALTORS® Technology Department serves you by maintaining and improving the systems that you and the association rely upon.
You interact with the Technology Department’s work almost any time you interact with Texas REALTORS®—the team manages the association’s voice and data systems. That also includes association systems such as MarketViewer.
Team members compile data for internal and external use and have created or helped maintain parts of the MarketViewer dashboard. The department also oversees the development and upkeep of external applications for members.
These staffers help the association by keeping its workstations and systems safe and operating. The department responds to tech-related issues and lends a hand when local associations need help, too.
Whether it’s responding to technical issues, maintaining system infrastructure, supporting technology use, or helping association staff understand and utilize their tools effectively, Technology is on the case.
In addition to responding to emerging issues, team members are researching potential improvements and developing new systems and electronic resources in-house. The Technology Department develops code that empowers association staff to be more productive, streamline problem-solving, and simplify daily operations.
“My focus has always been ensuring communication, of any kind, flows properly and people have the right tools to do the job,” says Technology Director Pat Wimberly. “Reliability, redundancy, security, and efficiency of both communication and data drive the infrastructure side of the Technology Department. Conversely presentation, delivery, and use cases are driven by the software development side of the team.
“Together we all strive to optimize available resources to provide the best available mix of business tools enabling efficient business processes for the membership and staff of Texas REALTORS®.”
The Technology Department is: Ian Barker, Software Engineer; Joshua Hobson, Senior Software Developer; Landon Hobson, Technology Operations Manager; Brandon Hooper, Technical Support Specialist; Quinn Neal, Infrastructure & Technology Support Manager; Neil Paveling, Software Developer and Technology Integration Coordinator; Becky Weirich, Junior Data Analyst; and Pat Wimberly, Technology Director.
When i worked in in Florida they had a huge benefit to members. A technical hotline that could be used for any technical issue. They helped my with so many issues over the years. Scanners, printers, apple devices and much more. I have been a Texas realtor for many years and wish our association provided such a nice benefit.
