Real estate ads help gain leads and exposure for your listings. But it’s up to you to follow the many advertising rules and regulations. Can you use a nickname in your advertisement? Are you using the term REALTOR® correctly? Must the ad contain the name of the real estate firm or broker?
Don’t let a misstep lead to an ethics violation or TREC complaint. Review the frequently asked questions in the May issue of Texas REALTOR® to ensure your advertisements meet all requirements.
I see this violated on Social Media all day long. Agents profiles rarely show the Brokerage Name let alone the required pins or links for IABS. As soon as you start postinig informaiton about buying and selling real estate this is reqired on all Social Media Platforms
I see this ALL the time as well. I see homes listed for sale or rent by agents and unless you look or dig you would have no idea that they are an agent. Huge no-no.
